2009 Diocesan applications to the Anglican Foundation
The diocesan DEADLINE for 2009 applications for the second round has been changed to April 3rd 2009.
The Secretary of Synod has prepared an letter with all the information regarding the new date, please click here to view it. You will also have to download the application form and the link to that is at the bottom of this page.
Congregations wishing to apply for an Anglican Foundation Grant in 2009 must to do so through the Secretary of Synod. The applications will be reviewed and checked for accuracy and forwarded to the DEC for consideration. Any application that is considered incomplete will be returned.
A bit of background … the Anglican Foundation provides funding for three grants/loans from each diocese per year. Most commonly, a congregation will apply for a grant/loan to help build or renovate churches, halls, rectories and washrooms, and to make handicapped-accessible washrooms. They also accept “program-type” of applications.
The maximum grant per congregation is $15 000. Should a particular project require additional funds, a low-interest loan can also be applied for at the same time. A maximum loan is set at $100 000. The D.E.C. is allowed to send only two of the three annual applications on to the Anglican Foundation at any one time; the D.E.C. may approve a third application in the spring, but it may not be forwarded for consideration until the fall Foundation meetings.
Please note that you send the application to the Secretary of Synod for verification and processing. When the application is complete and been approved by the DEC it will ber forwardied on to the Foundation for their consideration by the diocesan office.
